The water quality
The main components of drinking water are minerals. They are made up of the salt content, the carbonate hardness, the permanent hardness and the total hardness. Water hardness and pH value can vary greatly from region to region. Water hardness is determined by the content of calcium and magnesium ions (permanent hardness) and carbonate hardness (temporary hardness) and is measured in °d.

There are instructions on every pack. In addition to the coffee, the water quality is important for a perfect taste experience. Water that is too hard not only damages the machine, but also impairs the taste. Water with a pH value of 7.0 and a total hardness of approx. 4 - 8 °d is ideal for preparation.
